It was my first day in Cadiz; I didn't know anyone, I didn't speak Spanish, and I hadn't even decided yet where I was going to take language classes. Before that day was over, however, I had already made my decision. As I approached SIC to take the tour, I was warmly greeted and welcomed into the school by friendly staff and students alike. I immediately felt at home in the intimate SIC community, where the more Spanish I learned, the more I wanted to know, and the more time that passed, the less I wanted to leave. At the end of five weeks, my only regret was that I couldn't stay longer. Studying Spanish language and culture at SIC was undoubtedly among my best experiences abroad, and I truly look forward to returning, whether it's to continue taking classes or just to visit teachers and friends.

Every little detail was thought through by SIC personnel. Students in school were extremely friendly even though Gerry was the youngest one there. It was a life changing experience.
