General Conditions

You must know that

The prices include the teaching materials used in the courses and the final certificate of attendance.

All payments must be made in Euros.

There will be no classes on official holidays, nor will these classes be made up.

Enrolment and reservations

Discounts

S.I.C. offers the following discounts:

For former S.I.C. students (10% Off on the course)

For parties of three or more students that enrolled for a course at the same date for the same period. (10% Off the course)

The discount is only applicable only to direct enrolments.

Cancellations

In order to cancel a booked course, you must notify the school in writing. The following will be applied:

If the cancellation is received 30 days prior to the start of the booked course, the school will return the full amount paid.

If the cancellation is received during the 30 days prior to the start of the booked course, the school will charge the student the amount of €125.00 as cancellation charges.

If the cancellation occurs after 12:00 a.m. on Friday prior to the start of the course, or while the course is taking place the school will not reimburse any amount paid.

[sic] reserves the right not to refund course and accommodations fees to students who require a letter of registration for the purposes of obtaining a visa permit.

If your original deposit is paid through credit card and you cancel your course 30 days after your original deposit date – our banking system does not allow us to return the money through that method of payment as all credit card transactions are erased from our system for security reasons, thus the only way to return the money is through a bank wire. The Accounting Dept. will email you once the refund is approve for that information.

Accommodations

Accommodations booked will be available from the Sunday (18:00) prior to the start of the course through to the Saturday after its completion (10:00).

All new students will go directly to their accommodations. The Housing Dept. will email you housing details the Wednesday before arrival.

The accommodation prices include all renting expenses, as well as house utilities.

Double rooms may only be booked by two students who have enrolled at the same time.

The accommodation period goes from your Sunday arrival starting at 19:30 until the morning of the first Saturday AFTER your course – having to leave your accommodation at around 11:00AM

Students can book extra night accommodation (early arrival or late departure) well ahead of time and we will do our best to accommodate to your needs.

The course and accommodations must be paid at the school in cash or credit card on the first three days of your stay.

Bank holidays

During official holidays (local, regional and national) there will be no classes in school. The classes will not be reimbursable/recover nor change to a further date.

Please check the bank holidays before booking your course.

Force Majeure

When the cancellation or cancellations is/are due to “force majeure”, all previous clauses in reference to reservation deposits refunds will be automatically voided and a voucher/coupon will be issued for the amount paid.

The voucher/coupon can be used within the year of the cancellation or the subsequent year after towards the booking of a course and accommodation.

Force majeure is understood as any event beyond the control of the parties of an unpredictable and unavoidable nature that prevents the client or the school from fulfilling any or all of the obligations set forth in the registration booking form.

Cases of force majeure or unpredictable events are considered those that would normally be recognized as such by the jurisprudence of the Spanish Legal System.

Disputes & Controversies

In the case of any dispute, controversy, grievance or difference that arises or relates to the purchase, reservation, or usage, and is not contemplated in the General Conditions page, then it will be resolve and decided in the Arbitrary Court of the Cadiz Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Cadiz. The language use in the arbitration will be Spanish. The place for the arbitration will be in the city of Cadiz.

If, the Cadiz Chamber of Commerce finds it self for any reason in the impossibility of arbitrating among the two parts then, the arbitration will be resolved in the Cadiz Court of Law abiding to all laws and regulations of the Spanish Government.
