"Ich war insgesamt 10 Wochen an der Sprachschule S.I.C. und habe jeden Tag genossen:-)Zur Schule gehen hat seit langer Zeit mal wieder Spaß gemacht, was hauptsächlich an den netten Lehrern und den kleinen Unterrichtsgruppen lag - einfach eine familiäre Atmosphäre. Außerdem wurde normal einmal in der Woche ein Ausflug zu Sehenswürdigkeiten gemacht um die Stadt besser kennen zu lernen und Freitag abends hieß es dann ausgehen mit der Schule.
Die Stadt ist auch richtig schön mit ihren kleinen Gassen, dem Meer an jeder Seite und den vielen alten Gebäuden und Kirchen. Das Beste war, dass die Wohnung der Schule mitten im Zentrum der Altsadt liegt, das heißt Klamottengeschäfte, Bars und Supermarkt sind gleich um die Ecke.
In diesen 10 Wochen habe ich auf jeden Fall total viel gelernt, viele nette
Leute kennen gelernt und einfach eine schöne Zeit gehabt. Gracias por todo, nunca os olvidaré :-)"

"Wer sehr guten Sprachunterricht mit einem Ausflug auf einen wunderschönen, touristisch noch unentdeckten, andalusischen Landzipfel verbinden möchte, dem kann ich S.I.C. nur empfehlen. Die Schule ist eher klein, so dass schnell ein enger Kontakt zu den Mit-Studis und Lehrern entsteht. Die Atmosphäre war äußerst nett und familär, was zwar den Abschied umso schwerer, die Zeit dort aber dafür umso schöner gemacht hat.
Überrascht war ich vor allem von der tollen Organisation, sämtliche Fragen wurden sofort per Mail beantwortet, jede Buchung bestätigt etc, so dass ich mich von Anfang an wunderbar betreut gefühlt habe.
Der Unterricht selbst ist sehr gut strukturiert und äußerst intensiv, es geht zügig voran ohne langwierige Wiederholungen etc., so konnte ich in nur zwei Wochen meine Spanischkenntnisse unglaublich verbessern. Durch die kleinen Gruppengrößen wird ständige, aktive Teilnahme garantiert, was für Sprachunterricht optimal ist.
Die Unterkunft wurde ganz problemlos direkt von der Schule vermittelt - je nach Wunsch in Familie oder Wohngemeinschaft. Ich hatte mich für Wohngemeinschaft entschieden und habe so in einem schönen Zimmer mitten im Stadtzentrum gewohnt gemeinsam mit anderen Sprachschülern, Studis aus Cádiz und "Einheimischen". So lernt man unglaublich viele Leute kennen und fühlt sich bald wie daheim.
Die Stadt kann man nicht beschreiben, sie hat ein so eigenes Flair, das muss man selbst erleben. Aber die Lage kann man in Worte fassen und zwar in drei - mitten im Meer. Also alle Meerfreunde kommen hier voll auf ihre Kosten, man sieht und riecht es fast in jeder Gasse der Stadt und da es eigentlich kein schlechtes Wetter gibt, kann man nach der Schule wunderbar einen der Strände genießen, der direkt neben der Schule ist.
Insgesamt kann ich nur sagen, dass es eine traumhafte Zeit war, die nur leider viel zu schnell vorbeigegangen ist."

Dank der Empfehlung einer staatlichen Sprachenschule bin ich an SIC geraten, und meine Erwartungen wurden noch übertroffen. In der lockeren Athmosphäre dieser Schule fällt das intensive Lernen bei teilweise ganz schön hohem Tempo nicht schwer. Und die sympathischen Lehrerinnen verzeihen (fast) alles, wenn der vorige Abend im quirligen Cádiz etwas länger und das Gedächtnis dadurch etwas kürzer geworden ist…
Die Unterbringung in einer spanischen Familie hat den Vorteil, dort auch spanisch sprechen zu müssen. Das fängt beim Frühstück und den Morgennachrichten im 1. Programm an und hört abends auf, wenn Lorenzo die spanischen Ausdrücke für „Ecke“ und „Abseits“ bei der Fußballübertragung erklärt hat. Und das Lob auf Spanisch für die Kochkünste Juanas habe ich auch schnell gelernt.
Die Stiftung Warentest würde das Prädikat „Sehr gut“ erteilen. Mein nächster Kursus in Cádiz ist auch schon in Planung.

"Ich konnte leider nur 2 wochen in a der schule von alejandro und luis bleiben, weil meine zeit durch die ferien begrenzt war. es war wirklich schade, dass es nur 2 wochen waren, denn es waren 2 wunderschöne wochen mit supernetten leuten und lehrern, die erst gar nicht die typische schulstimmung aufkommen ließen, sondern das lernen zum erlebnis machten. so gerne bin ich noch nie in eine schule gegangen wie in die "spanish in Cádiz"... und dann die wunderschöne stadt cadiz in der man mitten in der altstadt wohnt. 1 min zum markt mit allem was man sich wünscht, daneben ein supermarkt was den urlaub zu einem günstigen aber dadurch nicht minderwertigen aufenthalt macht. im endeffekt kann ich sagen, dass es mir schwerfallen wird nicht wiederzukommen, denn soviel habe ich glaub ich noch nie in so kurzer zeit gelernt. außerdem werde ich viele liebeswürdige personen vermissen. eine vermiss ich jetzt schon sehr doll,...;-)....ich kann nur jedem diese schule, die eigentlich nichts mit der negativen wort schule zu tun hat, empfehlen!!! gracias por todo..."

"Als Fremdsprachenlehrerin, die sich gerne in den Ferien weiterbildet, hat man natuerlich etwas "gehobene" Ansprüche an das Lehrpersonal. Die Lehrer von [sic] verstehen es, ihren Unterricht methodisch und thematisch ansprechend zu gestalten und achten sehr darauf, ihren Schuelern auch landeskundliche Informationen zu geben. Dabei ist das Verhaeltnis zu den Schuelern freundschaftlich, und das macht die besondere Atmosphaere in dieser Schule aus. Die Materialien fuer den Grammatikteil sind lebendig und schaffen die richtige Balance zwischen Regeln und Übungen. Fuer den Kommunikationsteil werden aktuelle Themen ebenso wie klassische Texte hinzugezogen, ohne dass der Sprechanteil zu kurz kommt. Im Unterricht wird viel gelacht, und so entsteht wie ganz von selbst eine unglaublich entspannte Lernatmosphaere. Ich kann diese Schule an jeden, der unternehmungslustig und junggeblieben ist, weiterempfehlen."

"Die zwei Wochen in Cadiz waren wunderschön. Morgens Spanisch lernen mittags am Strand liegen und abends das Nachtleben von Cadiz genießen, was könnte man sonst noch von seinem Urlaub erwarten.
Morgens Spanisch lernen klingt nach pauken, dem war aber nicht so.
Unterrichtet wurde in einer sehr angenehmen Atmosphäre in kleinen Gruppen. Dabei kam der Spass und der Witz nie zu kurz. Das ganze Team von SIC war um das Wohlergehen der Schüler sehr bemüht. Abends gab es Keipentouren und Ausflüge die dazu beitrugen die eigenen Sprachkenntnisse zu verbessern und neue Freundschaften zu knüpfen.
Ebenfalls sehr positive habe ich die Unterbringung in einem Wohnhaus mit anderen Studenten aus verschiedenen Ländern empfunden. Dort gab es immer einen Grund zu feiern, auch spät nachts (Gruss an Shin unseren japanischen Mitbewohner (Um 5 Uhr nachts Hamburger zu Sepultura)) Alles in allem empfand ich den Urlaub als sehr gelungen und kann es jedem nur empfehlen solch einen Sprachurlaub zu machen.

Dann ist man wieder fit, um Ausflüge in die Umgebung machen zu können, was unglaublich einfach und billig ist!
Und am Ende hat man dann Heimweh nach Cádiz und weiß, dass es einfach ist Spanisch zu lernen, wenn man in eine Schule geht, in der alle Spaß an ihrer Arbeit und am Leben haben!"

"Also ich war hier in Cadiz für 6 Wochen am SIC. Ich muss sagen, es hat hier wirklich wahnsinnig viel Spaß gemacht. In der Schule ist alles tiptop! Die Lehrer sind wirklich sehr nett und zuvorkommend, total freundschaftliche Beziehung, die Gruppen sind meistens klein, was das Lernen leichter macht, also manchmal echt nur 3 Personen pro Klasse.. quasi wie Einzelunterricht! Man kommt wirklich schnell voran, ich hatte noch nie Spanisch gelernt davor und hab schon nach 2 Wochen das Gefühl gehabt, ich kanns!
Wenn man ein Problem hat wird wirklich geholfen wo's geht, also man bekommt wirklich alle Unterstützung, die man sich vorstellen kann! Auch die Unterkunft war total gut! Hatte ein Zimmer in einem Apartment, das sich ca. 8 Studenten teilten, mit Hausfrau usw. also wirklich sehr angenehm!
Nach der Schule dann immer direkt zum Strand, der nur 2 Minuten von der Schule entfernt ist... da muss man eh nicht mehr mehr darüber sagen :-)! und ansonsten ist Cadiz einfach ein nettes Städtchen, mit freundlichen Menschen, lustigen Ausgehmöglichkeiten und ja.. einfach eine perfekte Umgebung um Spanisch zu lernen! Hätt ich jetzt die Zeit, würd ich sofort wieder hinfahren!"

Ich habe 2 Wochen an einem Intensivkurs hier an der Schule teilgenommen. Ich kann S.I.C. mit bestem Gewissen waermsten weiterempfehlen. Das Team bemueht sich sehr gleich zu Beginn alle neuen Studenten zu integrieren und das Ambiente ist schon nach kurzer Zeit familiaer.
Ich habe sprachlich bei Null begonnen, habe jedoch in den 2 Wochen des Kurses viel gelernt und es war mir moeglich danach gleich, aufgrund ausreichender Sprachkenntnisse einen Job in einem spanischen Lokal zu finden und als Kellner zu arbeiten.
Ich moechte noch erwaehnen, dass das S.I.C.- Team auch bei Problemen ausserhalb des Kurs-Rahmens hilft. So half mir das S.I.C.-Team mit nuetzlichen Informationen bei der Jobsuche und einem Kollegen, der einen kleineren Autounfall hatte.

Adorei estudar em Cádiz! As praias são lindas e a cidade maravilhosa! Fiz um curso de 2 semanas e foi incrível, pois aprendi bastante coisa em pouco tempo. O método é bem rápido e dinâmico.Os professores são bem atenciosos e o ambiente da escola super familiar. Estou agora morando em Sevilla, fazendo universidade, mas já morro de saudades de Cádiz, espero voltar logo, pois lá tem um astral muito massa.

Une école pleine de vie avec des profs sympa et des cours qui vous permettent de réellement progresser. le tout dans une ambiance décontractée. si en plus vous rajoutez la plage a 50 mètres, le soleil, les soirées espagnoles et le logement en appartement partagés ou en chambre d'étudiant... c'est ce qu'on peut appeler des vacances utiles et réussies. personnellement je n'avais qu'une semaine et c'était vraiment trop court... je ne rêvais que d'une chose : rester.

"My wife and I just came back from a wonderful holiday in Spain. We
spent 5 weeks in Cádiz taking Spanish language courses at Spanish in Cadiz and we both enjoyed our courses very much. Judy took her classes at the Beginner level while I took mine at the Intermediate level. The
teachers were great and made learning fun. The latter is of extreme
importance for people on vacation. We stayed with a Spanish host
family who were extremely considerate and patient in helping us learn
Spanish outside of class hours. We learned a lot about Spanish
culture from them, all in Spanish, of course. All in all, it was one
of the best vacations we have ever taken. How could it be otherwise:
a 5-week "learning" vacation in a marvelous city with 3000 years of
rich history and situated at the the end of a peninsula in the
Atlantic Ocean. We took long walks on the beautiful wide sandy
beaches every day! We should note that the school is just a couple of
blocks from thee beach. We look forward to returning to Cádiz next

Mit ophold på S.I.C var fedt.. jeg tog alene til cadiz og tog et intensivt kursus på 14 dage (på mellem niveauet).. jeg har harft spansk i 2 år, men kursuset hjalp en del på mit spanske, men ligeså vigtigt var personerne på skolen. Man lære en del af at gå i skole, tale spansk i timerne og lære grammatik, men jeg lærte lige så meget uden for skolen, du taler spansk med dine medstuderende, fester, oplever nye steder og ting, og alt dette gav mig endnu mere mod og lyst til at lære sproget og kulturen.. Kan helt klart anbefale skolen.. den er endda også ret billig i forhold til andre..
en taxa tur fra jerez lufthavn koster mellem 400-500 kr så tænk over hvornår dit fly lander.. da busserne kun går i et bestemt tidsrum.. godt tip hvis du vil spare de penge :) Ps.. jeg tager helt sikkert til Cadiz igen..

Your professionalism and assistance during registration was invaluable and your warm reception on my first day made me feel right at home at S.I.C.

The talented and inspiring teachers made learning Spanish easy and fun, even for a mature student like me. My two teachers patiently taught me the basics of Spanish (nivel inicial) with the help of S.I.C.‘s own very well-structured textbook, and my listening comprehension, reading skills, as well as my spoken Spanish improved manifold over the week. Luckily S.I.C. offers 8 more courses so that I can return to S.I.C. and Cadiz for many years to come.

My week at S.I.C., with its friendly, competent staff, its ideal location a stone throw from amazing beaches and within walking distance of the beautiful centre of the city of Cadiz, was one of the best weeks I have had in a long time. I am already thinking of repeating this enjoyable (and challenging) experience next year.

"The school is located in a perfect location, two blocks from the beach! I would go with my classmates to the beach, hang out on the sand, and breathe in the sea air between classes. The classes were awesome! I took Chinese in college for a year and didn't learn a thing compared with what I learned at S.I.C. I came to Cadiz knowing absolutely no Spanish, and after two and a half months, I was able to hold a conversation with seven old spanish women I had over for Thanksgiving. Oh, yes, quite a feat! All the classes are small- usually it was just the three of us- and I was able to get all the attention and help I needed. The teachers were all fun, organized, smart, and engaging. I was constantly challenged, but at the same time, the teachers really cared about my well-being and that I enjoyed myself in this beautiful town. You definitely learn a lot at this school, I would whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone. Also, Cadiz itself is beautiful! It has some of the best beaches in Europe. The town is so safe, seven year olds can be seen out playing in the streets past midnight. Have fun at Spanish in Cadiz,  I hope to come back too if I get the chance!"

Vietimme - Marjaleena ja minä - keväällä 2007 kaksi viikkoa Cadizissa, opiskellen espanjaa SIC (Spanish In Cadiz) koulussa. Toinen viikko oli tosin pääsiäispyhistä johtuen lyhyt, koska kiirastorstai ja pitkäperjantai olivat pyhäpäiviä.

Tämäkin aika riitti mielestämme merkittävästi aktivoimaan ja parantamaan kielitaitoamme aikaisemmin hankituilta pohjilta.
Ennen kaikkea koheni rohkeus puhua. Kielioppiin jäi varmasti aukkoja, mutta verbit eivät enää näyttäydy niin pelottavina kuin ennen.

Haluamme antaa korkeat arvosanat opettajillemme ja logistiikasta huolehtineelle Alejandrolle sekä pätevyydestä että ystävällisyydestä ja auttavaisuudesta.
Tunsimme olevamme kotona Cadizissa ensi hetkistä alkaen, kotiuduimme ja lähtö oli lähes vaikea.

Toiseksi viikoksi mukaan tuli myös tyttäremme, jolle SIC joustavasti järjesti flamencotunteja. Yksi opettajista osoittautui myös tämän alan taitajaksi.

Kurssit pyörivät ympäri vuoden, ja ajoitus varsinaisen lomakauden ulkopuolelle kannattaa. Ryhmät ovat pienempiä eikä turisteista ole suurta haittaa kaupungilla. Mutta silloin kannattaa pukeutua lämpimästi - Atlantti on Cadizissa läsnä, ja ainakin vielä maalis-huhtikuussa varsin viileinä tuulina.

Mutta kaiken kaikkiaan, suosittelemme!

"Olin opiskellut aikaisemmin espanjaa kaksi lukuvuotta paikkakuntani työväenopistossa. Halusin saada piristysruiskeen ja lisää potkua opintoihini. Niinpä tulin Espanjan matkallani S.C.I.-kouluun viikon kielikurssille. Yllätyin iloisesti opetuksen hyvästä tasosta: opettajat olivat ammattitaitoisia ja heidän työmoraalinsa korkea. Ryhmät olivat pieniä ja niissä oli innostava ja huumorintajuinen tunnelma. Henkilökunta oli erittäin avuliasta ja heidän puoleensa saattoi kääntyä kaikissa mahdollisissa käytännön asioissa. Asuin paikallisessa perheessä, jossa sain hyvää ruokaa ja tuutin täydeltä kuullunymmärtämis- ja keskusteluharjoitusta. Koulu on aivan meren rannalla - ihana asia tammikuun pakkasista tulleelle suomalaiselle. Lisäksi ihastuin Cadiziin kaupunkina ja cadizilaiseen elämänmenoon. Kaupungin historia on mielenkiintoinen, lukuisat plazat viehättäviä, ruoka herkullista. Ihmettelen, miksi Cadiz on Suomessa niin vähän tunnettu. Toivon, että voin tulla Cadizi in uudelleen - pidemmälle kielikurssille ja hieman myöhemmin keväällä."

"Je regrette de n’avoir pu prolonger mon séjour . 2 semaines à Cadix pour suivre des cours d’espagnol dans une école extrêmement agréable, entourée par des professeurs haut niveau , très professionnels et tous aussi sympathiques les uns que les autres. Si mon arrivée fut quelque peu stressante le dimanche, je dois reconnaître que la prise en charge dès le lundi matin fut menée de main de maître par le directeur et les différents professeurs de l’école.
15 jours donc en famille chez une personne merveilleuse , le trajet du matin jusqu’à l’école par le bord de mer ( indescriptible tant c’est agréable ) les cours passionnants, beaucoup de grammaire pour le niveau intermédiaire ( j’ai adoré ), une ville d’une beauté exceptionnelle, bref ! "Des vacances, ouiii, et linguistiques encore mieux. Cet été a Cadiz,pendant une semaine, j'ai pris la formule "cours intensifs".
35h de cours ds le niveau medium pour revoir les bases de la conjugaison et de la grammaire.
L'ambiance était sympa, on se retrouvait avec des gens venu des 4 coins du monde, le niveau était assez bon, et il était facile de travailler car au contraire des cours au lycée, les profs rendaient les heures de classe distrayantes et intéessantes. Bon c'est sur qu'en 5 matinées, je ne suis pas devenue une pro ds la langue, mais en complément avec la vie en Espagne, il est sur que qd on rentre en France on note qq progrès.
En bref, Cadiz est une ville géniale, les gens y sont adorables, l'ambiance c'est de la folie. Ces vacances là, restent inoubliables!"

"J'ai passé une semaine a l'ecole en prenant des cours "one to one" mais je n'ai été ds aucun des logements que proposait l'ecole.Donc pour ce qui en est de ce type de cours je les ai trouvé tres bien,au debut peut etre un peu cher mais la qualité du cour en vaut le prix.J'ai peut etre eu la chance de tomber sur un tres bon professeur avec qui je me suis bien entendue.Les cours one to one sont tres bien car le professeur cible tres vite ton niveau et ainsi tu peux travailler les choses que tu veux a ton rythme.Il y a de la part des professeurs une certaine exigence:comme une forte participation oral,des devoirs le soir et cela garentit donc de reels progrets mais comme nous sommes egalment en vacances il n'y pas qu'une ambience scolaire mais aussi une ambience plus amicale avec les professeurs (discussions...).J'ai ete tres satisfaite de mon sejour a l'ecole car je prepare un examen et grace a cette formule j'ai pu travailler ainsi plusieurs points le concernant c'est pour cela que je recommande cette formule a ceux et celle qui preparent d'eventuels examens d'espagnols.

Pour ce qui en est de la residence,des echos que j'en ai eu elle etait tres bien,elle se situe ds la vielle ville un endroi tres agreable.Et pour les logements en famille,j'etais partie les deux années precedentes a cadiz avec ce type de logement,je trouve ça tres bien car pour l'apprentissage de la langue il n'y a rien de mieux que d'etre avec les gens du pays.Se furent des experiences tres enrichissentes.

Et pour maintenant parler de la ville,je pense que c'est un tres bon choix car c'est une ville balneaire,tres bien pour les jeunes car il y reigne une tres bonne ambience le soir,il y a plein de bars sympas,les plages sont magnifiques, le patrimoine de la ville est interessant et le coeur de la cité est tres joli."

L'école est vraiment une super adresse que je recommande vivement.
Tout d'abord Cadiz est une ville très agréable avec de belles plages (notamment proches de l'école). Il y a beaucoup d'excursions aux alentours possibles aussi.
Mais surtout au delà de la gentillesse et de la patience des profs et d'Alejandro, les cours sont d'excellente qualité. Je reviens d'amérique centrale où j'ai pris également des cours et il n'y a pas photo; Les connaissances des profs pour toutes les nuances grammaticales (quand on a déjà un niveau correct en espagnol) sont impressionnantes.
Les supports écrits avec exercices aident aussi beaucoup.
On peut vraiment grâce à leur aide apprendre, améliorer ou perfectionner ses connaissances (suivant le niveau de chacun). Super rapport Qualité/Prix !

J'ai passé deux semaines à SIC en août 2005 et en garde aujourd'hui encore de très très bons souvenirs. Tout d'abord, l'école est très bien située puisqu'elle se trouve à deux pas de la plage et à quelques minutes à pied ou en bus du centre historique. Ensuite l'encadrement est de bonne qualité, les professeurs et organisateurs sont compétents, pragmatiques, dynamiques et sympathiques. L'ambiance est tout simplement joviale et conviviale, exactement ce qu'il faut pour passer de bonnes vacances! Je recommande absolument cette école tant pour la valeur et le sérieux des cours que pour l'ambiance détendue. J'ai logé avec d 'autres participants dans la résidence Sagasta: une très belle maison en plein coeur du centre historique, maison rénovée et donc en plutôt bon état. Cette résidence fut aussi l'occasion de partager de bons moments tous ensemble et de pratiquer un peu l'espagnol.

Professeurs et encadrement géniaux pour cette école de langue vraiment super sympa. Partant d’un niveau grand débutant j’ai pu grâce à SIC arriver à me débrouiller plutôt correctement en espagnol après 2 semaines. Côté activités, l’école propose également des animations en semaine, ce qui rend le séjour intéressant et varié (visites, concerts, soirées…). Par ailleurs une école à 50m de la plage, ça donne des idées entre les cours… Pour finir, l’environnement et le logement digne d’une véritable « auberge espagnole » permettent de rencontrer beaucoup d’autres étrangers et au final de passer de super vacances… Merci SIC et à bientôt

La scuola si trova a due passi dalla spiaggia. I professori sono magnifici e l'ambiente allegro e amichevole.
Ci sono anche varie attività settimanali oltre l'orario scolastico molto divertenti e utili.

"With some trepidation I chose a short Spanish course in Cadiz with SIC as a "taster" . Their relaxed style puts you at ease and I was rapidly made to feel welcome. The course is well structured with clear progression at every level. Grammar wasn't my forte but if you are lucky enough to get a charming and talented teacher like Maria Jose for “conversación” this is a highly enjoyable but nevertheless challenging experience. I honestly didn’t expect our two months at SIC to be one of the most rewarding and fun experiences in years. As well as returning back to the UK after a couple of months being able to speak the lingo, I did also need to go on a rather drastic diet to shift the tapas-induced excess pounds, a de-tox to allow my liver to battle back to a normal condition and a touch of counselling to come to terms with how much I was missing the staff and students that we met at SIC. The tan someway made up for the trauma.

Top Tip: invest equal amounts of your time in beach ‘study’, Spanish study and tapas-bar study and you can’t fail…

I would defy anybody not to have the most brilliant time at SIC. It is hard work, but that’s what you’re there for. The classes are fun (unless studying the conditional tense where not even super-guapo Luis could charm us into believing it was ‘fun’), very well-structured and led with the utmost of professionalism.

And yes, for those that choose to, you can play hard too, it’s a sociable school but as far as joining in is concerned, it’s entirely your choice, no pressure…but it would be criminal not to experience a Cadiz all-nighter at least once during your stay.

If you decide to go, I’m pretty sure you won’t want to leave and that you’ll definitely go back.

The friendly teachers and welcoming atmosphere at SIC seemed a part of this: our morning classes quickly became an enjoyable experience.
